It was established in 1991 as the first and the largest cultural center with the area of 50000 m2 (square meters) in Bahman square from district 16 of Tehran s Municipality. It contains many sections such as Shahid Avini hall with the capacity of 630 permanent seats which could be in creased up to 1400 seats, Imam Khomeini auditorium with 800 seats, the galleries 2000 meters, library, active sport complexes in different field. This center has got various activities like scientific, educational, religious, and cultural. Also for blind people Bahman cultural center supports all units related to education, science, and kinder garden through out art the year.
